Three Ring Circus Litigation Overview Webinar

Litigation is Like a Three-Ring Circus and this Webinar Explains Why

Litigation seems linear. There’s a beginning, middle, and end. But there’s another way to look at it that will help you better understand what the heck is going on and how best to move successfully through the process.

In this three-session webinar, we discuss how litigation is like a three-ring circus. We examine each circle and the arrows that connect them and make us look around and take broader views of where we are in our cases, whether we’re plaintiff or defendant.

Details to Know, then Register Below

  1. Sessions and Costs. Webinars are available as Open Groups, Private Groups, and Single (one-on-one) Sessions.
    1. The $50 cost is the Open Group rate and covers all three sessions. Open Group sessions are placed on the calendar and announced on social media. There is no limit on the number of participants.
    2. Private Groups have a minimum of three paid participants (no upper limit) and are scheduled for times that are convenient to the group for the same cost of $50. These Private Group sessions are closed and not advertised for others to join. Contact us using the form below (or see our About & Contact page) for scheduling before you register, or we’ll contact you after.
    3. Single (one-on-one) webinars are available at the rate of $60 for all three sessions. Contact us using the form below (or see our About & Contact page) for scheduling before you register, or we’ll contact you after.
    4. If you prefer to participate as part of a group but are unable to attend any scheduled Open Group or create your own Private Group, we welcome your request to schedule Open Group sessions for times that are convenient for you. Use the contact form below (or see our About & Contact page). We will do our best to honor your request. If given sufficient notice, we may place your requested sessions on the calendar, announce them on social media, and advertise for other participants.
  2. Tech. We’ll use Zoom for this webinar.
    1. Instead of the usual webinar format where you simply listen to someone present information, everyone will be able to ask questions and share comments as if we’re in a meeting together. I think the subject matter makes this the better format.
    2. A one-time download to your computer or device will be necessary if you haven’t used Zoom before. If you don’t want to download anything, you will have the option of joining the meeting from your browser, but some of Zoom’s bells and whistles are not available there. You also may call in and attend by telephone, which we can arrange in advance when we confirm your registration.
  3. Disclaimers, Recordings, and Privacy.
    1. We will be providing a lot of legal information to you. We cannot, however, give you legal advice. If you need legal counsel to explain how the law in your state applies to your particular situation, you will need to consult with an attorney who is licensed and experienced in your state.
    2. Because we do not give legal advice, no attorney-client relationship is formed. Because there is no attorney-client relationship, there is no privilege that would protect session communications from being subpoenaed. Because there is no protection and because many of our clients are domestic abuse survivors, we do not maintain recordings of sessions beyond a brief period for playback (see paragraph 5, below, for information about playbacks).
    3. Courts are institutions created by, governed by, and populated with humans. Two people could look at the same law and evidence and reach two different conclusions about them. Therefore there is no way we can guarantee any outcome in your particular situation or that any of the suggested strategies we discuss will have the intended impact.
    4. We never sell your information to anyone outside our organization. Never have, never will. The only possible exception is that we do allow Google to run ads on some pages (for now), so Google may collect some data.
  4. Confirmation After Registration. We will send you an email with the meeting link, password, and other details after we receive your registration.
  5. No Refund Policy. Because of the burdens of administration, and because our service is to provide you with information that cannot be returned, we will not be able to make any refund. If you cannot attend the webinar after you’ve paid, you will have these options: (a) playback the recording, or (b) attend the next webinar, or (c) apply the amount you paid to other training or coaching events, including one-on-one sessions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
